Never heard of it.

I have my own personal declaration of human rights, and I am in favor of that.

If YOUR declaration of human rights includes cannibalizing small children, would that be OK?? Should the rest of the world accommodate you on that?

Oh, so in other words, bullying is not OK, except under certain circumstances defined by you.

I didn't say anything like that...

I disagree with death threats but the other stuff is called protesting.

I'm assuming we have both watched the same images on TV. Death threats, Armed security, screaming, shouting, assaults.

Agree on your point regarding the bullying. Completely disagree as to who is doing it.

I assumed you would.

Who was assaulted?

One of the Senators was punched in the arm on camera.

"I disagree with death threats but the other stuff is called protesting. "

My declaration of human rights could include smoking the naturally grown, God given marijuana. They include doing it while I'm driving my children around and at work. Using your philosophy, you should respect that, because it's my declaration.....

So they would have voted no, and lost the vote anyway. The states don't have a fillibuster. Are you just as upset when federal senators abuse the fillibuster?

You win some you lose some. It's no excuse to run away from responsibility. What if they all did that every time there was a legitimate disagreement?

Re: filibuster. Haven't thought about it. I think the filibuster is a legitimate and recognized form of political posturing. First I've heard of running away and hiding out in another state. Gosh it could give way to a whole new trend in modern government. Why whatever could we call it?

First you have heard of? Really? Republicans did it California a few years ago. Democrats did in Texas not that long ago. And Abraham Lincoln did it Illinois back in the eighteen hundreds... Its not common, but its the state version of a fillibuster.

Mostly with the Secret Service. People who threaten the President are investigated, and if appropriate, prosecuted.
Same thing should happen in Wisconsin.

I'm not outraged as much as shocked that the tolerant left, that carried on SOOOO much about the hostility after the shooting of Rep. Giffords, is largely silent now.

Must be that "non-existent" double standard at work again.
