Snow Predictions Anyone?

What's yours for the final total inches of snow after this blizzard is all said and done? I want to see how close the Average Joe comes to what the local weather stations are predicting. Be specific.

I say 12 inches.

I'm going to agree with you. I know predictions said it would all start around 3-4ish, but it seems to be coming down fine and slow around here. It is windy, but I thought I'd see large flakes and fast. Ask me again around 6 PM.

It is coming down pretty good in Morton, too. My guess is 16 inches for Morton.

Before we all start making guesses, should we decide WHERE the measurement should take place? Are we going by official weather report or SAHM's backyard?

I was thinking we could compare with what the official weather reports are saying. The MAX and MIN being predicted are as follows:

CIProud.com says MAX of 20", MIN of 14"
weather.com says MAX of 23", MIN of 14"
Weather Underground says MAX of 21" and MIN of 14"

But it really doesn't matter. It would be kinda cool to see what everyone gets on their deck, too.

Edit: Excellent, PI! I'm running a photo and video documentary
on my blog as well. It's going to be great to see what happens all over the area.

By the power divested in me because I said so, the measure will be taken in PI's backyard.

Now. When do we declare "the end?"

I'd say with your divested power, it's whenever you say so.

We have a yardstick fastened to one of the deck rails. So far it says 1.5 inches, but it's also blowing a lot. There are going to be measurements all over the place.....but my prediction here at my house is 19 inches.

Theres suppose to be alot of drifting and that always makes it look like theres more snow than actually is.

Its REALLY COLD up here, wind is picking up more and more, storm is suppose to start around 5 tonight thru Wensday...I'm curious at what we will really get, a little more than a month ago our weather people called for a major blizzard and we got 2". I hope its a wrong call again but they are already telling of closings/cancellations.
