It's gone! I was told they are totally redoing it, and it will be ready in March.

This is great news! That playground was inherantly dangerous in my opinion.

I hope the new one is designed with Kids safety in mind!Can't wait to see it.

The best playground I have seen is at the park next to the Library on McClure. Not only is it safe but it's fun too. We discovered it late in the fall and Airen keeps asking when she can go back.

I hope they get rid of the sandbox at the CAT playground. I really hate sand.

...and then they had those back-hoe like things right in the sandbox with toddlers operating them right next to the kids playing in the sandbox. Talk about a head-bangie. Whoever designed that play area was definately not a PARENT!

Please-we often travel to Peoria with our cat. Are these playgrounds for kids with a 'cat' theme or actual places to take a cat similar to a dog park?

I'm sorry!!!! Cat is short for Caterpillar. It's a child's playground sponsored by Caterpillar, a major area corporate employer.
