Habitat for Humanity family fun day

PEORIA — Habitat for Humanity is sponsoring a Family Fun Day from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday behind the Habitat ReStore, 931 N. Douglas Ave.

There will be games for children, face painting, balloon creations, zoo animals, mascots and specials at the ReStore.

A raffle for a $2,500 children's playhouse donated and constructed by Minier Christian Church also will take place. Raffle ticket are $5 each and the proceeds will benefit the Habitat building fund.

Such a good program. I wish there were more things like this around that are for good.

Too bad the news shows more of who went to jail, and who killed who, instead of acts of kindness such as what the H4H does.

Awesome stuff. I'll be sure to be there and donate some cash.
