I'm Bored on the Peoria.com Forums

After moving back to Peoria from a large city, I now realize why I left Peoria. I am so bored on the weekends. So in an effort to kill this boredom I need some suggestions on things to do. I'm in my late 20s if that helps with suggestions.

Go to the bar.

I'm right there with you.... I'm in my early 20s and it seems there is not a thing to do in this town. I love my job here though, that's the only reason I'm sticking it out.

....but the weekends just get so ridiculously boring.

If nothing interests you on those sites, I would suggest hooking up with friends in larger towns or maybe trying to find someone you can 'live with' on the weekends in a larger town.

I always thought the idea behind the movie The Holiday, with Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet was great. They switched residencies for a holiday break, living in the space of the other person for a set time. I always thought that would be kind of cool to find someone in another town to just be able to switch for the weekends. Obviously, this would take some research and time on your part as far as 'trust' goes.

I will say that Big Rog's #2 can cure boredom...but then you might just have to give up #3 for a while.

*sigh* There is plenty of stuff to do, it might not be "your cup of tea", but it is not like there is absolutely nothing happening. There was a couple of things I would have liked to have done this weekend (besides mowing my yard) but that ol' work thang...

huge pile of laundry, still waiting for me to fold.. Halloween decorations to put away..basement to vacuum... but I'm reviving this thread because I don't want to do any of that and tv is not exciting me all that much tonight.

Yes, The History channel on the Fermi paradox. Not all that exciting for me as I have many books on the subject.. but my friend AV8R isn't around so I'm bored now.

I am doing laundry, getting Abby's stuff ready for tomorrow, reading a cookbook, and watching Real Housewives...it's quiet in the house and I love it.

I may add some vodka to my lemondade...
