I was referring more to married women who cheat, not the single mistress.

Which raises the question: If a woman is a mistress, is a man called a manstress?

I think that in order for infidelity to work, both parties have to be married. When both are married they tend to cover their tracks more. And you don' t have the problem of the single one (the mistress or mister) getting drunk one night and calling your spouse to tell him/her about it.

If they were just hanging out then there would be no sexts to publish, no voice mails to sell, and no evidence of wrongdoing!

i've always been under the impression that guys do keep it in their pants more than women, only women are less likely to admit it. that, and women like to cut men off from sex as punishment, which they don't seem to realize is actually an invitation to look elsewhere.

According to studies (of people that actually admit it), guys cheat 60% of the time, and women 40%. That's amazingly high, for both. I would venture that Dave is right, it's probably close to equal, but guys are probably more apt to admit it. As to the topic question, why? Simple....something is lacking at home. Whether it's sex or conversation or a good meal or whatever, something is missing.

I was talking to my bus driver, on the way to work. He told me he was going dancing after work. I jokingly asked, "Are you taking your wife or your girlfriend?" He said, "I'll take my girlfriend, my wife doesn't like to dance." Still not sure if he was serious or not, I said, "Why don't you take them both?" He said, "My wife doesn't get along with my girlfriend." Ya think???? He was serious. The man was Latino. I think things are a bit different in their culture when it comes to this stuff!

I must be naive on the subject, I thought most couples don't cheat on each other.
