It probably will. Many people outside of our country are disgruntled that we are the largest consumers and wasters of fuel/energy while we have been reticent to do anything about global warming.

So this type of legislation will garner some good will globally and it will put us in a better position to be green leaders as well.

To me its amusing that you would choose the word naive, which means "lacking wordly experience and understanding"... which is exactly what I think of when I read your posts.

thank God for all our CO2 emissions then, otherwise the frost would kill the crops.

As I've explained before, "global warming" has been changed to "climate change" for all you dunces who think an unseasonably cold week refutes all the "global warming" evidence.

I didn't see anybody posting "OMG, global warming is real and here!!" two weeks ago when it was sweltering.
