Nope, they aren't in prison. They had to pay a combined 3.6M fine. Thepiratebay.org never went down, and no users have ever been sued.

So, which is better, Avast or AVG? I use AVG, but it is getting closer and closer to being a paid software, and I'm sick of having it bug me to pay.

I would choose AVG Free over Avast. IMHO.

Mac don't SUCK!. 10.6 is really nice. I like their OS now that it is BSD based. I feel so much at home being able to drop to console and issue commands :D

I used to work on Macs, back before OS X. I hear they are much better now but I absolutely despise their advertising campaign. If you cant sell your product with out flat out insulting your competition then I need no part in it. They are worse than politicians!

Hey Shifty, try isohunt.org.
MUCH better that piratebay, and they have Lobbyists in Washington and a pretty sweet blog that they keep up to date as they fight the system vs piracy.

You won't find a LOT of rarer stuff on there, but anything newer, within the last few years is always available.

Why is it better than TPB? Screw lobbyists, those Swedes have balls of steel. Besides, any tracker based in North America is on borrowed time. They are just dragging out the court case.

Well, for one, I used to get a LOT of trojans form Piratebay, and ISo verifies every file that get's uploaded. Not always right away, due to the vast number, but they get it done.

Go with the Pros. No one releases stuff on Torrent.. that is like sloppy seconds... Private FTP/Usenet is where the action is.

Dude, I have had adobe CS4 Masters Collection, FULL install, working perfectly, no problems, updates itself, the works.
I haven't paid for software since about 2001.

And I never even use my Demonoid account...

Ok, when I set up the entire office with Vista Ultima and Adobe CS4 and MS Office Enterprise Edition, no one felt like a "noob".

I USED to use IRC for d/l's but why???
IRC doesn't use cool programs that can restart your d/l after a reboot, et al.
Llook, Pock, I think you're pretty OK, but you have a serious "I'm Always Right" attitude.

Not everything you do is the right way, it's just the right way for you.
