I HATE WALLPAPER on the Peoria.com Forums

We ripped out all but one room of wallpaper when we moved into our current house..that was quite a few years ago. We redid all the wall surfaces and repainted everything white. Call me boring. Next home will have no wallpaper and will have painted walls!

The one trace of wallpaper left in our current home is on the outer wall of our utility shower in the laundry room. The toilet faces it. It has a pattern on it, that when you sit and face it, it jumps off the wall at you. This drives me crazy because I have to focus on something other than the wall or I get nauseous. Seriously.

Close your eyes or crap somewhere else.

It was an emergency crap. I wasn't there long, but the wallpaper jumps off the wall every time I look at it.

At least you are in the right room if you get sick...

yeah..if i'm on the pot..garbage can is right next to it.

Most of our wallpaper is gone too. Still up in the bathrooms. I prefer paint and texture/sponge paint etc. stuff that is easily changed when I get bored.

My brother is getting ready to tear down wallpaper in his bedroom. My sister and I have gone thru it, too.

People - Don't use wallpaper! It can be, not always, but can be almost impossible to get off.

I think the weird part is relative to hanging out on here. Is this up for debate or should we just leave it at that?

That is subjective thinking SAHM, but I have to agree. It is a site requirement.
