Garage sale season is coming up. I can't wait to have one. We have so much JUNK!

But, I can't wait to start going to them again too. I LOVE garage sales.

Its a wonderful thing, J... although over the years I've been getting RID OF stuff. I do love a decluttered house!

I haev already purchased the stickers to label the goodies I need to get rid of. I did some downsizing on my home decor..just decided I had too much..so gonna try to get rid of that at garage sale along w/ clothes etc.

JNJ be sure to post when you are having yours. Your daughter has such cute clothes.

I used to go garage-saling all the time. But now I don't go out unless I need something. Plus you have to start early and I am allergic to mornings. The last good deal I got was a fireplace tools I needed for the backyard fire pit. 5 piece brass with stand $5.

But I still browse through Freecycle and Ebay.

We are not allowed to hold garage sales in my neighborhood. But there are community sales held 3 times a year that we can participate in.

I like it when the whole neighborhood participates, then you can waste less gas driving all over. We have one every year in our area. It's interesting how some people put a high price on things so they don't sell. I sell things cheap to get rid of them. I like it when I find a sale with the same goal.

Went to a huge indoor one in E.P. on Saturday. I saw all the strollers being pushed through narrow aisles that I wanted.

My mom, sister, aunt, and I go to the Hudson citywide sale every year. It is the first Saturday in May and it is totally worth the drive. Abby gets an entire years worth of clothes there, and they are name brand! We love garage sales!

Once the season hits, Morton has sales pretty much every wednesday thru summer even. I know certain subdivisions have their sales at specified times, but I always seem to find out about those AFTER the fact! Those are the places my best girlfriends find the clothes with tags still on them! Makes me sick! Always a day late and a dollar short it seems!

I like to go, but I have a rule. I can't bring anything into the house, without getting rid of something else.

If I follow that rule, it helps on the clutter.

I live in Woodlawn subdivision in Morton. The sub used to be great for subdivision yard sales, but not so much anymore. Most of the residents are too old now to put their stuff in the driveway. :-)

lol, well joepy...keep us updated if ya don't mind! I know typically they have those cardboard boxes with signs on all 4 sides at that crazy main and 150 intersection, but I never get a chance to read them....too much traffic to watch thru there!

I'll definitely post here, when they have the sale in my sub. I may even get in on it this year... and put some stuff out.
