Shhh! I'm tryin to keep a low profile! You don't have to remind me....I'm sooo jealous- HA! Eureka is to Buffalo like a 110 y.o. bottle of vino is to generic soda. There's just NO comparison!

This event was awesome. They estimated nearly 1000 guests! It was at the new ballroom at the civic center which is incredible. Thank God our city leaders DREAM BIG! What an honor it was to bring this great man to Peoria. I will have a full story on my blog within a few days!

I didn't see you at the Pere "meet and greet". What's up with that? All the big-whigs where there.

I was at the Civic Center hanging with the High Schoolers who were there for the event. That was a trip! More later...

Awesome event. Wish I coulda made it, but alas....

I always hafta chuckle when I see something about Reagan's speech "tear this wall down." History most likely will somehow convey that the wall came down miraculously because of that speech. But the truth is that the former USSR was already on the brink of collapse and Reagan of course knew this since he was our President at the time. With great timing, he issued his fervent speech, and voila' the wall came down, SEEMINGLY in response. Ya gotta love a President with a publicity knack like that... and who apparently read about Joshua and the battle at Jericho. I miss Ronnie. Such an intelligent man with charm! I love the fact that Gorbachev continues to honor him. That says alot about the man.
