What kind? Chickens?

The battery on my laptop only keeps a charge for 10 min. I have to use the power cord all the time.

I always bring my power cord TK and most hot spots have access to power. But it does limit your seating. My battery only lasts for two hours, I last a lot longer so I always sit near a power outlet no matter where I go. You should join me sometime. I always have fun hot spotting.

It could be fun. The best part about it is you can people watch (and you'd be surprised at what kind of hysterically funny things you see when you're one of the few people still sober.. lol), keep in touch with our friends here on PdC, have our on little party in the chat box crack up and make everyone else wonder why. If you want to talk to someone at the table close the laptop and talk. Or if your alone (like I often am) and someone really unusual approaches you that you don't want to talk to, they get the hint when you don't close your computer and go away. It's most fun when you have at least two laptops. But sharing can be funny too. Especially if you screw up and post under someone else name. It's just funny.

When I go out somewhere with someone, I like to give the person I'm with my undivided attention. Not bury my face in a computer.

ummmmm... That would be a date Flip and it defeats the purpose of "Hot Spotting" hence the title of this thread. Goof nut

No, it doesn't necessarily have to be a "date" to out with someone, even when I'm with my GF's, I'm out with THEM, not my PC....and PDC.

But if you're Hot Spotting, whether you're with a GF or a BF it don't matter, it involves a PC and hopefully PdC. But I agree, if you have a lunch date with someone who does not have the same interests then leave the laptop at home.

I love PDC, I really,really do......but I have a life also away from it and my PC.

I tried the hot spotting deal, but was not a fan of it, I definitely enjoy the interaction of others when in person. I save my posting time here, to time at home when I'm alone. As much as we think we interact when hot spotting, we really aren't, because you are being distracted all the time trying to keep up with two different conversations, or more. It's like being on the phone and trying to post here, it can't be done, without taking attention away from one or the other. If I want to be on PDC, I do it from home, kicked back and relaxed.

As far as our hot spot denials, they looked to be having a lot of fun on my computer when we all met up at Panache. Only quit playing when Jeep showed up.

If we're talking about my denial, that's wrong. Myself and other attendees had LOTS of good conversation, hardly any hot spotting, just as when we tried having lunch at One World. The two of us there had lunch, while you posted for 2 hours for all 3 of us, while the two of us chatted the entire time. At Panache..You only noticed it when Jeep was there because that's when you stopped and paid attention.

Not to mention breakfast at TNT's the last time I was down there!!!
