Help Wanted: Educators
After School Educators (Peoria area)
As an After School Site Director, you'll be Right At School's liaison with the school administration, education staff and our Area Coordinators at the site level. You'll help ensure we deliver high quality, fun, safe and interactive after-school programming that delights the children attending our programs and their parents. You'll be instrumental in delivering our focus on the 4Cs -- Character, Confidence, Creativity and Conditioning.

This is a part-time position, approximately 18 hours per week (2-4 hours per day), depending on location, typically between the hours of 2 pm and 6 pm.

Roles and Responsibilities:

� Manages the after school staff, including timely coaching on and documentation of performance issues, formal performance evaluation and ongoing professional development and creation of a high functioning team of educators
� Oversees and manage educators who implement after school curriculum, including enrichment specialists, vendors, and extended after school care educators to ensure the delivery of engaging, interactive educational experience consistent with the 4Cs.
� Trains staff on Right At School's policies and procedures and orients staff to site-specific protocols; manages staff compliance with policies in coordination with the Area Coordinator
� Works with school administration and staff to establish plans and procedures to ensure the safety and security of children during the after school period
� Develops strong relationships with school administration, parents and PTA organizations, where applicable, to ensure successful delivery of after-school programs and ensure customer satisfaction with the program
� Assists the Area Coordinators with meeting student retention and enrollment goals
� Communicates regularly with parents through informal daily check-ins as well as bi-monthly newsletters that include photos, videos and podcasts of student activities
� Leads occasional staff meetings for communicating feedback from school, central office, program changes, professional development, etc.
� Meets and reports regularly to the Area Coordinator regarding program, site and staff performance
� Manages and keeps up to date with supplies, records, email/phone contact
� Administers first aid when necessary

Skills Required:
� Must love working with kids and demonstrate the necessary passion and dedication to successfully manage the Play Right program to Right At School standards
� A commitment to working for one full school year highly preferred
� BS degree preferred
� 90 hours of college credit with 18 semester hours in child care/education or 2 years of experience working with school age children and 30 hours of college credit with 6 hours in child care/education preferred
� Previous experience leading or instructing groups of school-age children required
� Previous experience managing staff performance highly preferred
� Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and foster teamwork with school administration, parents, central office staff and educators
� Exceptional classroom management with the ability to use and model appropriate and positive discipline
� Highly organized; ability to multi-task; strong planning skills
� Ability to adapt and respond to fluid and unexpected situations in a flexible, professional manner is key
� First Aid and CPR certification required
� 100% dependability a must
